Compassion compels. Mercy has a mandate.

It is that simple. We cannot truly see and do nothing. Or we have not really seen at all.

Human trafficking, genocide, AIDS, the sex trade, child soldiers, conflict, poverty: it all looks so overwhelming. What can one person do?

Choose to see.

See the one person put in front of you. It is not complicated. Love is simple. Love looks like eyes that see the one, and stop.

One loving one, one seeing one, one stopping for one each day, each place, each time until a city, a nation is changed from the inside out by Love.

This is the movement of compassion, a movement born in the heart of God arising in hearts of His people. His love does have a face to a hurting world. Mine. Yours. Ours.
